Hello my PEEPS! I'm way behind on my posting since the funeral, but WOW it's been super-busy here, and I'm mentally and physically exhausted as of late. Our trip North up and back took 5 days, 2 of which were full driving days. We hit snow going in, all the time there, and drove out of it on the way home southward. The funeral day was a total freezing blizzard, low visability, freezing roads, howling winds, snowflakes flying. The funeral home was warm and filled with flowers, family, good conversations, and a wonderful service by a pastor that my hubby's family practically raised and considered "family", so he knew my mother-in-law very well. His words were from his heart, and it warmed us all. We managed to motor on to the internment service, and from it onward to the church where a big dinner awaited all who attended. Again, the warmth, love, and generosity of their church made the day not seem so sad. Over food, family stories and memories were revisited. After food, new pictures of family groups were taken by the pastor's wife and family members to share with all later on. Honestly, it was one of the nicest and warmest funerals I have ever attended. I suppose that's some of the reason I married my husband; I knew he came from a family that knew the meaning of the word, and the WORD. My hubby is the man with lots of silver hair in the photo below.
When we returned home, two of our family friends were having personal crisis, so we pitched in for the last two weeks helping them to sort out their lives; this while we worked our normal jobs. I did manage to get Valentine remembrances to my grandkids and parents, but that's the extent of what I've managed to get done for myself, other than the freebie I have for you today.
Surprisingly, we had some snowfall here at the beach this week, three days ago! The morning started out gorgeous and sunny. As the day wore on, the sky became gray, the temperature dropped rapidly, the rain began and then turned to snowflakes during the night. We awoke the next morning to white covering our spring green! Such an event causes a freakous this far south! Here's a peek at beach snow . . .
Ok, that's enough of an update on things around here for now. On to your freebie!
I've designed a Quick Page for the February 2013 Quick Page Game over at Digi Scrap Station using a kit called "My Daughter's Wedding" by Karen's Scraps & Graphics. Remember, if you want to gather all the contestants' QPs, just head over to the forum there where you'll find a direct link to all the free QPs from this kit. Look for the thread about the February Quick Page game, and scroll down through it to gather all the downloads. We make one 8x8" page for the contest so the total album will be uniform. But, here on my blog I provide both the 8x8" and the 12x12" size, both png files at 300 dpi for printing quality. Here is the kit preview . . .
And here is my Quick Page . . .

I hope you can use this in your scrapping! I'll be working up another QP for the February QP Contest at Ivy Scraps, so I'll be back with that in the next couple of days! If you like to scrap at all, you should get involved in the monthly QP games as the kits to work with are free! Then there are all the finished pages to collect for the next 30 days following the game. It's a neat way to build an album in a flash, and QPs enable faster scrapping!
That's it for me for now. I have a world of plans for the next two days which include house-cleaning, laundry, groceries, paying bills, taking in a movie, baking, and taking my puppy to his second vet appointment! Whew! Wonder if I'll finish that list??
Check back in soon!
TOOTLES!!
