TEMPLATE FREEBIE & EXCHANGE

Welcome to April and to Spring, everyone! Did you get to pull off an April Fool's joke, or were you on the receiving end of those all day long? LOL!

It was a gorgeous, sunny, cloudless 86 degrees here today; absolutely beautiful and the time of year we can enjoy that kind of heat without the humidity that summer brings on in this area. I spent the entire day with my DD hunting for the perfect (but affordable) Easter dress for my one and only granddaughter who is an active athletic type but very prissy girly type at the same time. We found it at last along with several other not so essential purchases that browsing in stores and malls just causes to happen. LOL! I hope I have pictures later of my grandkids in their Easter attire. I have fond memories being a youth and always having a new spring dressy dress just for Easter, along with those wonderful patent leather Mary-Jane style new shoes in either shiny black or blinding white! Remember those days yourself??

I picked up a new bottle of my favorite brand of garlic dipping oil as we scanned through our favorite chef/kitchen shop. I have a spice blend called "Sicilian-Traditional" that just has to be my favorite which I generously sprinkle into that oil and dip my favorite Italian bread. OH YUMO! It's a wonder I'm not 500 pounds as good bread is definitely a weakness of mine!

We treated ourselves right during shopping and stopped to refuel with a good lunch out. It was Mexican, a place called "Cantina Maximo - Nacho Hippo". Sipping a marguerita (my favorite summer drink) we decided to split one of their nacho specialities, the name of which I surely cannot remember; but the ingredients consisted of black bean, Caribbean jerk chicken, cheeses, and mango salsa. OMG!! It was to die for good!! I'm going to attempt making that here at home soon! I'm definitely inspired by the flavor blend being so wonderful. That's what I love about living here; there are just so many choices of where to shop, eat, and play. It's never boring out there!

Okay, sorry, enough rambling on. I have a really neat TEMPLATE FREEBIE for you today! I thoroughly enjoyed making the clipping mask included in this template and the journaling outline type element. I am participating in a template exchange during April over at Digital Scrapbooking Studio in celebration of Toiny owning The Studio for three years now. It's a great digital scrapbooking website, so if you are not familiar with it, you should definitely check it out. It's home to some of the friendliest and most helpful scrappers and designers you'll bump into. Toiny is married to a military man and currently they are stationed in Germany. Her newsletters are wonderful and full of not just everything in the boutique but also her own stories of happenings on her homefront with her life there and her children and always a photo. You can really get to know them over time. It's a very close-knit group of folks. At any rate, all during April the template exchange will be ongoing, so you can visit the forum thread about the template exchange which is located under the forum heading "3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION". Everybody participating is providing direct download links to their templates there. You can also see the templates and layouts using them in the gallery there under the same heading. You can participate if you like to make templates or just gather the ones being posted. So hop on over there and have a look see.

My template is a 12 x 12 inch, 300 dpi; and I am providing in the download a psd, tiff, and all pngs so most everybody will be able to use it in different software programs. Here's my preview . . . .

and here is a layout I whipped up using this template so you can get some ideas . . .

DOWNLOAD FROM BOX, HERE

OR FROM 4SHARED, HERE

The fonts used on this are Bebas and Celebrity if you're interested.  I hope you can use this and have fun scrapping with it.  I'm sure you'll find lots of ways to use that clipping mask.  Let me know what you think, leave a comment.  If you like free supplies, go over to DSS and snag all the rest of the templates popping up over there all month long, or try making one yourself to include there.

I hope to produce my April Paper Pack real soon.  I finally caught up with myself on that project but hope to keep it going through at least July this year.  I think I may have started with August last year but will double check on that.

That's it for now.  HAPPY EASTER!  Take care and I'll chat again soon.

TOOTLES!!
