MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

Yes, I've done it!! Alas.....I can rest. I've finally managed to infect my BFF with digi-scrappin' and she is probably hooked and by now surely out-scrappin me on a weekly basis. Aaahh....the feeling of sharing what you enjoy is sweet! She is a hybrid scrapper and takes excellent digital photos to work with. Her only hold-up was living in a more remote beach location where chain stores are not so plentiful which made getting her hands on elements to work with more difficult. I've been talking to her about digi-scrappin for, lets see now, over 7 months and telling her what a big online community of wonderful designers and scrappers is here. Once she got a peaceful time-out for herself, she took a serious look....and I'm happy to report that she is on-board; having made a whole color coordinated album of 8 x 8 pages of her recent Feb. trip to visit her youngest son and family before we even talked much about trying out the digital method. We have even uploaded our scrapped pages to an online sharing site so we can see what each other has made. It's like instant gratification and sharing fun! We used to share a craft business way back when our babies were small, so it's kind of like recapturing those days in some small way even though we are miles and states apart these days. Computers are great to keep us all connected so well!! Watch out GF, I'll have you blogging and CTing in no time!! LOL!!

I've got great news: DK Designs has a wonderful new theme kit ready for everyone called "HOPPY EASTER", and it's available at iscrapbook. It's loaded with pretty pastel colors, plenty of playful elements and pretty papers. Cherity and Josie are staying busy for sure with all the pretty kits they are designing. Here's a preview.....

Isn't it GREAT?! Aren't you EXCITED?! I had such fun making my layout and am going to definitely do a few more soon as I catch my next fun break! Here are the layouts I have so far from our CT.....

From Cynthia.....

From Anj.......

And, this is mine.......

It's always thrilling to see how differently we all can use the same kit, isn't it? This is truly a fun kit and Easter is just around the corner again!! My angel, Mason, will be more than happy to attack his second egg hunt soon! My only job involves being sure all the digital cameras are fully charged! LOL!

I'll share a few of my recent personal scrappin layouts with you below and test my memory as to what I used in them. I'm trying to learn to write that down for safekeeping as I go, but it's hard for me to follow my own rules since I'm such a free spirit......

This is Jaycee Olivia, and she is such a cutie I can't resist scrapping her everytime I find a new photo of her. Her mommie is a good friend of our family, and I call them my "curlygirls" for reasons which will be obvious in the years to come. Here I used a background paper, BG4 Desperate Housewives Kit from FxFoto; font is "Wild Child" by Two Peas in a Bucket; and the wonderful large framing combo element is by Mitsybelle. When I saw this element I immediately had the idea to use it right side up and then up side down also, so here is that result. It's a very versatile element and could be used down the side of the page flipping the element, or more centered on a page and yet still flipping. I'm pleased with the way it frames Jaycee so well.

This one above is a very rare day captured for posterity of actual snow falling here at the beach! It really causes lots of excitement when it happens maybe once every decade! That's my little blue buggie while the air was full of flakes. Ten minutes later it was all over. The kit used for this LO is "Winter Convoy" by PinkuPixie. This is a delightful kit for scrappin wintery shots! The journaling font at the bottom is "scrapbook" again by Two Peas in a Bucket.

This is my own twisted LO with a gorgeous kit that most would probably use for Valentine memories. I chose to scrap some recent flicks of my miracle grandchild chowing down on my fried chicken one evening! If he keeps on eating like that, he won't be small for long! This is the kit, "In Love" by Mitsybelle, which is absolutely gorgeous and would be so appropriate to wrap up some young love.

Lastly above, here's one I call "BeanBag Love". Is not that the face of happiness? This was a fun LO to work on. The kit is "Chocolate Cherry" by PinkuPixie, and it contains wonderful exciting elements that could be assembled in a million ways...not to mention that you find yourself wanting to eat some chocolates while working with it. LOL! Delightful, really!!

I've added a chat box here on my blog, over there in that left column, so if anybody wants to ask a question, make a comment, etc., you now have an additional quick place to be in touch with me....so use away!! I'm getting better at figuring how to add all those thingys!!

It's time for me to jump back on my design work for a tad and come up with some more freebies for you guys soon. I hope you'll stay tuned in and keep checking for them.

Our beach weather this weekend and so far this week has done a complete extreme turnabout from last week at this time. Today it was 86 degrees during the peak hours of the day! Yeah!! That's my kind of weather!! I actually saw an ornamental pear tree beginning to burst into white blossom in my neighborhood, and my own daffodils have been in full bloom for two weeks; so I think old man winter is on his way out down here!! I'm also a fan of the Daylight Savings Time because I am all for the extra daylight it affords in the evening hours, my productive time period, being a proverbial night-owl type. Mornings are definitely not my finest until lots of coffee has been ingested.

We have a St. Patrick's Day parade this Saturday downtown, and it's an annual event that lasts all day with food and festivities into the night. This area loves a reason to party on, so Saturday will look mostly green everywhere and Sunday most won't be able to see at all. LOL!

You peeps take care, and I'll be back soon! Tootles!
